Terms of Service

By accessing or using Anonymeter.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users ("Form Owners"), and anyone who submits a response to a form hosted on our platform ("Respondents").

Anonymeter is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that allows Form Owners to:

• Create custom feedback forms with various question types.
• Generate unique shareable links for those forms.
• Collect anonymous responses from Respondents who visit those links.
• View, analyze, and export the collected responses.

Respondents do not need to create an account to submit responses. True anonymity is maintained by design — we do not store any identifying information about Respondents.

Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@anonymeter.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Accurate information: You agree to provide a valid email address and keep your account information accurate and up to date.

One account per person: Each person may maintain only one free account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is prohibited.

Free plan: Includes up to 3 forms with unlimited responses, at no cost. No credit card required.

Pro plan ($9/month): Unlimited forms and responses, CSV export, and priority support.

Team plan ($29/month): Everything in Pro, plus up to 10 team members, advanced analytics, and API access.

Billing: Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.

Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days notice before increasing prices for existing subscribers.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not use Anonymeter to:

• Collect feedback from or about individuals under the age of 13.
• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate individuals.
• Distribute spam, phishing links, or malware through form descriptions or links.
• Impersonate another person or organization.
• Collect sensitive personal data (health records, financial details, government IDs) without explicit consent and a lawful basis.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation, including data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA).
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without written permission.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service to third parties.

We reserve the right to investigate and take action against violations, including suspending or terminating accounts without notice.

Your content: You retain ownership of all forms and response data you create or collect through Anonymeter. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

Our content: The Anonymeter platform, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without written permission.

Feedback: If you provide us with suggestions or feedback about the Service, you grant us the right to use that feedback without compensation or attribution.

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

As a Form Owner, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of Anonymeter complies with applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction. This includes obtaining any necessary consents from respondents if required by law.

Data processing: For users subject to GDPR, Anonymeter acts as a data processor for response data on your behalf. You (the Form Owner) are the data controller for the responses collected through your forms.

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.

We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by downtime, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

By you: You may delete your account at any time. All your forms and response data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms. We may also terminate the Service entirely with 30 days notice to registered users.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anonymeter and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you are on the free plan.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
